In the dreadful storms which hit Cwmbran on 22nd May 2014 the Dowlais Brook burst its banks and flooded the subways below the Threepenny Bit at Fairhill. Staff at CoStar and local residents were shocked to see a deluge of fast flowing brown water surging through the subway and under the road at Fairhill. These images were captured as the torrent was in full flow! For a video of the flood see our Facebook page.
